Hey everyone! We have just reached a personal milestone of 250 Facebook fans on our Lasting Memories Videotaping page. We want to thank everyone who has joined. If you haven’t become a fan yet, just type Lasting Memories Videotaping in the search bar on the upper right hand corner of Facebook. You can’t miss us.
We are going to use the Facebook fan page so everyone can keep up to date with the progress of our videos. So after we film your wedding, you can just keep checking the page for an update status of where we are in the post-production. We think it’s a cool feature.
Mandy & Jeff got married on October 2, 2009. It was a picture perfect day for everyone involved. Mandy’s dress glistened near by the beautiful foliage, while her and her Jeff were taking their first pictures as husband and wife. After the ceremony, the celebration continued at the Coastal House which was full of great food and even better dancing. Congratulations to Mandy & Jeff. May your life be full of love and happiness.
The last few weeks have been very exciting for us. We continue to receive a number of inquires about our availability this wedding season. Dates are going fast! We recommend setting up a no-obligation consultation at your earliest convenience so you can see a full example of our work and you can ask us any questions you want. Even if you are up in the air for what services you want at your wedding, you can still set up a consultation in order for us to hold your date. There is no commitment. No down deposit. It’s just the two of us showing our work to you.
Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to working with you!
So far, I have gained great hands-on experience since joining Lasting Memories Productions last November. The excitement. The interaction. The deadlines. I have been taking it all in stride. My favorite part of the job is meeting with the bride and groom to discuss their wedding day. Every couple brings freshness to the job. Their enthusiasm is contagious and it forces me to work hard with them to create a video that truly captures their wedding day.
Before jumping on board with Jamie, I was working in Washington DC as a crew production assistant with MTV’s The Real World. Recently, the show has begun airing on MTV (Wednesday nights at 10 p.m.) and it has brought back all kinds of memories from last summer. The everyday observations I was able to make have helped me with my own filming abilities. I was able to ask our main cameraman technical questions about “framing shots” and “using the lens”. One co-worker once told me, “Sometimes you only get one chance to get that great shot. And when it comes, you have to be ready.” I will be.
Not only did that job give me the technical aspects of filmmaking, but mental aspects as well. I had the opportunity to work with a great director who taught me the importance of telling a story through film. Storytelling is why I got into this business. I want to be able to tell people’s story through the art of filmmaking; and what better story to tell than that of two people getting married?
Today I have the chance to pick up the camera and tell the story of a bride and groom’s wedding day. I have the chance to get that great shot that they will someday show their grandkids. It is an outstanding responsibility that I take seriously.
I look forward to beginning this decade with Lasting Memories Productions and working with you in the near future.
